December 4th♥

Okay, so today I have some holiday inspiration pictures. I didn't take any of them, they're all off of polyvore. So all rights to their respective owners, or whatever. But yeah these pictures basically show how I want my Christmas to be. I'm actually thinking it may be kinda fun to go to a ski lodge for Christmas now, especially if it's really scenic and stuff.. anyway, check out the pictures and get into that sentimental, Christmastime mood ;)

 Like if the ski lodge looked like that ^, I'd be totally down with staying there for the holidays. plus, skiing sounds like a lot of fun..

Well, that's all. I'll be back tommorrow, with my own pictures, hopefully.

December 3rd♥

Heya everyone! Today, I'm gonna teach you how to make my favorite winter drink... a chai latte!It's a sweet, sort of spicy tea that sort of has a cinnamon taste to it. Here's what you're gonna need;
milk {I use whole milk if I can get it.. it tastes the best :P}
Tazo Chai mix {This is the mix they use at Starbucks. You can get it at Publix or Starbucks or some other grocery stores.}
Your favorite mug/glass/to-go cup
optional:
whipped cream
mini chocolate chips
cinnamon

Okay, here we go. It's really easy and simple to make..
1) get your mug, and pour half chai and half milk inside. If you want it to taste spicy and strong, put in a little more chai than milk, and vice-versa if you want it mild.
2) Mix with a tea-spoon, then put in the microwave. I'm not a great judge on how long you should put it in for, because it really depends on how big your mug is. I usually do anywhere between 60-75 seconds.
3) When you pull it out of the microwave, stir it again.
4) Now, add any other flavorings you wanna. In the picture above, I used whipped cream, chocolate chips, and a dash of cinnamon {The cinnamon is HIGHLY recommended by me.. it just tastes soo good!}. You can try other things like a candy cane, chocolate straws, etc.
5) enjoy! It's most thoroughly enjoyed by a fire, with a good novel, and maybe a friend or two.
:)
oh and p.s. , right now i'm listening to the hollister playlist online, and it's wicked. the december playlist is like totally my kind of music. here's the link: http://www.myspace.com/hollistersongs/music/playlists/november-december-2010-playlist-2988112

December 2nd♥

Today, I'm going to share with you guys my Christmas wishlist. It's pretty small, because I really only want a few major things. Here they are...

1) Classic mini Uggs in that cream color. I'm not really one to wear preppy stuff like that, but I find these Uggs really cute. I have a pair right now of the Ugg Classic shorts in a dark brown, but they're getting really beat up.

2) a new camera. I'd still like for it to be digital, but just with a much higer MP. I want a really high quality image.. I'm not sure what kind I want, but I guess I'll do some research.

3) A chunky, cable knit sweater in a sand or camel color. I've been obsessed with comfy clothes, and a big sweater is the ultimate comfy piece.

4) Money. That's like an obvious one.

and that's about it! I don't want alot this year.. I just want to be home for Christmas! The rest of my family wants to go skiing, but I really just want to stay home. We'll see.

Oh, and p.s.
TGIF.
Seriously.

December 1st♥

Happy December 1st, everyone! I've decided to post something somewhat Christmas or Winter related on my blog for everyday of December leading up to Christmas.. whether it be an outfit post, video {i'm planning on singing "Oh Holy Night" for you guys}, piece of writing, etc. Anyway, for today, here are some pictures I took yesterday. I was experimenting with makeup, and this is what came out of it. It would actually be a really fun look for a Holiday party.. if you have the guts. Anywho, enjoy!

If you want to try and do this look yourself, I used red covergirl lipstick, black "bad gal" benefit mascara on the top and bottom lashes, and just some red stickers. It's pretty easy but looks pretty cool.. but it's not for everyone, obviously. It is sort of out there, but it's totally fun.
Happy first day of Christmas, my lovely followers!

Dear Glasses...

Where to start? Maybe I should start from the beginning..

It was seventh grade. I needed glasses, and I was most definitely not going to settle for a plain ol', black framed, editor type pair. No, I wanted something different, something that would make me stand out.

As soon as I set foot into the fluorescent lit Lenscrafters, I headed for the ray bans. They were chic, right? But both my mother and the annoying sales lady agreed that the black frames just overpowered my small face. so, with a heavy sigh, I placed them back on the rack, and began browsing. I found a pair of thin, light peach colored frames, but that annoying sales lady went at it again

"Now those just disappear, honey. You can't even see them.. no, those just won't do"

I was positively fed up with this sales lady by this point, but my mother, seeing the annoyance on my face, shot me a "You-better-not-say-one-word-or-you-won't-get-a-slushie" look. So instead I just looked at my feet.

"You know," the lady said "You seem like the type of girl who would like something colorful". She led my mother and me to the sunglasses wall. "we can take the sunglasses lenses out of these and put in clear, prescription ones". My eyes instantly went to a green pair of ray ban sunglasses. Those were it. I plucked them off the stand, and looked to my mother for approval.

"Those are super cool!" She smiled. The sales lady took them from my hands and popped out the lenses.

"Here, try 'em on".

I carefully slid the frames on, and looked into the spotted mirror. Yup. They were perfect.

"See, look how darling they look!" the sales lady cooed. I had to admit, no matter how annoying the woman was, she knew her glasses.

"Can I buy them, Mommy?" I asked, smiling. {Yes, i was in 7th grade. I did and still do call my parents "mommy" and "daddy"}

My mom nodded. It was a done deal.

And that's how my glasses came to be.

Green glasses, you gave me sight, but more importantly, you gave me an identity {Yes, this is purposely cheesy.. sort of}. Every time I go out, at least five compliments come my way, all thanks to you. You're timeless, classic. Indestructible. You're a conversation starter. You're a fashion statement. You're a piece of me. I love you, and I never want to get rid of you. Even if I one day get contacts, I still feel as if I will forever be "The girl in the green glasses".
a real post will be coming from me soon.. in the mean time, Happy Thanksgiving!♥

Sparkle Motion♥

so i took these photos a few weeks ago, but i never uploaded them because they didn't really go with the mood of my other fallish posts. basically what i did to create this kooky look is used benefit lipstain {in posie tint} then put nyx glitter on my lips before the lipstain dried. Then on my eyes is covergirl liquid eyeshadow with built in primer.. it's that stuff that's advertised in literally every freaking fashion magazine latley.. hahaha ;)
well, hopefully a new post will be on the way soon.  I took a few self timer pictures yesterday underneath a  really pretty tree with bright orange leaves. I may post those.. we'll see :)
